Northamptonshire Steelbacks defeated Hampshire Hawks by 14 runs to win the T20 Blast Final at Edgbaston, The Bbc reported. The Steelbacks posted 169 for 9 after being put in to bat, then restricted Hampshire to 155 for 9 in reply. Ricardo Vasconcelos scored a career-best 88 from 59 balls with 11 fours and two sixes to anchor the innings.

Northamptonshire lost their last eight wickets for 31 runs after reaching 138 for 2 with 4.5 overs left. Sonny Baker took 5 for 21, the first five-wicket haul on Finals Day, while James Sales claimed 3 for 25. Hampshire needed 31 from the final 20 balls with five wickets in hand but lost momentum after Joe Weatherley was caught for 75.

Weatherley had earlier surpassed the previous record for most runs on a single Finals Day. Toby Albert fell to the first ball of the innings and James Vince was dismissed for 17.
