Northrop Grumman Releases Video of F/A-XX Naval Fighter Concept

Previously, only a single rendering of Northrop Grumman's concept was available.

The video shows the aircraft's stealthy tailless configuration, rear-set dorsal inlets, broad nose, and canopy. It also depicts wings with possible camber on outer sections and a crank, as well as folded wings. Additional details include what appear to be weapons bay doors, curved inward, and separate centerline doors.

The rendering suggests proportions that may indicate a smaller size than typical for a heavy naval fighter, though this could result from the stylized presentation. The aircraft is expected to carry significant fuel and weapons, with a combat radius approaching 1,000 miles, while fitting on a supercarrier.

The concept's accuracy to the actual design remains unknown, with potential modifications for security reasons. The aircraft's canopy size makes it unclear if it is single-seat or accommodates two crew members, though a side-by-side arrangement appears unlikely.
