The minister stated that these weapons "have the capacity to destroy almost all American cities" and said a strong NATO partnership is needed to prevent such an outcome.
The minister also said the battlefield situation has improved for Ukraine and that Russia is "in a bad place." The minister described Ukraine as a security provider and world leader in drone and anti-drone warfare. The minister added that Europe is increasing its defense spending but that NATO remains beneficial for the United States as well.
