Notion Disables Then Restores All Anthropic Models After Elevated Failures in Notion AI

Notion restored access to Anthropic models in its Notion AI tool after a temporary service disruption that occurred this weekend. 8 models were experiencing degraded performance, causing a higher rate of failures for users selecting those models. Notion said it disabled use of all Anthropic models in Notion AI as a result.

According to public stats on X, the post has been reposted around 1,200 times. Schoening stated that the degraded performance was a temporary service disruption. “This happens. It happens to Notion, GitHub, AWS, your OpenClaw, and everything in between,” he said.

An Anthropic spokesperson said in a statement that a brief infrastructure issue caused elevated errors on multiple Claude models for a short period of time. The issue has since been resolved, the spokesperson said, adding that the company is grateful to users for their patience while service was restored.
