The National Republican Senatorial Committee filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday asking the agency to investigate Alaskan Senate candidate Daniel J. Sullivan. The complaint alleges that Daniel J. Sullivan and political operative Amber Lee broke federal election law.
Daniel J. U.S. Forest Service employee and elementary school teacher, launched his Senate campaign last month.
He is running as a Republican in the Alaska primary scheduled for Aug. 18 and is challenging incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan, who is seeking a third term.
Sullivan outside the course of business for political campaign consultants by helping him launch his campaign for free. Amber Lee runs Amber Lee Strategies LLC and has multiple Democratic clients.

Alaska Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom is probing whether Daniel J. Sullivan coordinated with former Rep. Mary Peltola (D-Alaska), who is also challenging Sen. Dan Sullivan, to confuse voters. The Hill has reached out to the NRSC, Lee and the second Sullivan’s campaign for comment.
