deadline.comOlivia Rodrigo will stage the single-day music festival Daisy Chain Fields on August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California. The event features an all-female lineup that includes Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Mitski, KATSEYE, The Breeders, Die Spitz, Eli, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not for Radio.
Special guests Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks and Karen O will also perform, with McLachlan appearing alongside Rodrigo.
All artists on the bill are performing without compensation. Organizers stated that 100 percent of net proceeds will go to nonprofits dedicated to advancing women and girls, including Baby2Baby, Planned Parenthood, the National Women's Law Center, the Center for Reproductive Rights and the National Domestic Workers Alliance.
The festival will also include nonprofit activations, educational resources, community art experiences, local vendors and immersive installations.
Rodrigo said McLachlan, who founded the 1990s Lilith Fair tour, was the first person she called after deciding to organize the festival. She said she pictured girls making daisy-chain flower crowns when choosing the name and added that the festival aims to show women are stronger when they support one another.
The announcement follows the June 12 release of Rodrigo's third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," which sold 485,000 units in its first week.
Its lead single, "Drop Dead," made her the first artist to debut the lead singles from her first three albums at No. 1. General admission tickets cost $250 each. GA+ tickets cost $350 and include access to a private lounge and bar.
VIP tickets cost $500 and provide on-field viewing at the Dandelion Stage. Pit Viewing tickets cost $1,250 and offer exclusive front-of-stage access. Shuttles and parking passes will be available for additional fees.
The ticket presale begins on June 24 at 10 a.m. PT.
