Newman, 31, shared a photograph of herself modeling a pink bikini with the caption “See you soon! ” The invitation stated: “CONGRATULATIONS! ” She also posted Instagram Story videos showing her training and performing back flip tumbles at an indoor gym.
Newman wrote that she was “Prepping for @victoriassecret like how I would prep for the Olympics. Adding something in that scares you weekly,” referring to the tumbling exercises.
Newman missed three drug tests in 2025, resulting in the suspension announced on April 29. ” The agency noted that the failures occurred during a period of significant personal and professional change that Newman described as disorganized and overwhelming.
She had told the unit she planned to end her athletics career, and this was her first Anti-Doping Rule Violation. Newman is from Ontario and said in a TikTok video on Tuesday that she “uprooted my entire life” to move to Los Angeles.
The casting call deadline for the Los Angeles event was Wednesday. Those selected for the 2026 show will be signed to an exclusive contract with IMG Models. Newman practiced her runway walk in another TikTok video posted as she prepared for the tryout. She has continued to document her training on social media in the days following the suspension announcement.
