One Nation states it is the only Australian political party to question climate science. The party rejects evidence that Australia has warmed since 1910 and claims extreme weather events were more common before 1960. The party points to temperature readings from a single weather station at Nobby's in Newcastle to support its view.

Researchers have examined pre-1910 records and found temperatures from 1860 to 1909 were similar to those from 1910 to 1959.

Meteorology does not include temperature observations from before 1910 in its official long-term climate dataset. Temperature readings before then were often taken with non-standardized equipment.

Nation wants Australia to leave the Paris agreement and close the federal climate change department along with related agencies and programs. The party also supports building three modern ultra super-critical coal plants. One Nation attributes rising electricity costs to renewable energy policies.

Energy systems expert Dr Dylan McConnell stated that electricity prices have risen primarily due to international gas prices and increased coal costs. 5 trillion. Net Zero Australia has said this figure is a misrepresentation of their work and represents cumulative capital investment rather than a taxpayer cost.
