New York PostThe first ONE PIECE MUGIWARA STORE in the United States is scheduled to open in Los Angeles in fall 2026, New York Post reported. The outlet at Westfield Century City is planned as the largest Mugiwara Store in the world and the first permanent location outside Japan and other parts of Asia.
The store will sell official One Piece merchandise, exclusive collectibles, and items available only at that location.
According to Toei Animation, it will also display original animation artwork and include a special in-store video meant to immerse visitors in the world of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew. The company said the design aims to offer fans new discoveries with every visit.
One Piece was created by Eiichiro Oda and first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997. The anime began airing on Japan’s Fuji TV in 1999. The manga marked its 25th anniversary in 2022 and the anime followed in 2024.
The series is currently airing the Elbaph Arc, which debuted in April 2026. The announcement follows One Piece Night at Dodger Stadium, where fans received exclusive promotional cards. Secondary-market listings for those cards later ranged from about $600 to $1,150.
