OpenAI, Meta, and SpaceXAI released multiple new AI models and features across Tuesday through Thursday. Insider reported the announcements came from the three labs in rapid succession. OpenAI introduced GPT-Live on Wednesday, a voice model designed to make interactions with ChatGPT Voice resemble conversations with a human.
The company followed on Thursday with the GPT-5.6 family, which includes the flagship Sol model, the everyday Terra model, and the cost-saving Luna model. It also integrated Codex into the ChatGPT desktop app and announced ChatGPT Work, a workplace-oriented agent. OpenAI said it would sunset its Atlas browser.
