Two TNVitamins organic moringa products sold through major retailers are being recalled after the supplier flagged possible salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been linked to the products so far.
New York PostTwo organic moringa supplements sold through major online retailers are being recalled nationwide after a supplier identified a potential salmonella contamination risk. New York-based Total Nutrition Inc. voluntarily recalled its TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules and TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder.
The recall follows the supplier's decision to pull the raw organic moringa ingredient due to possible salmonella contamination. The company said no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
The recalled items are TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules (Product No. AB9917, Lot 2800, expiration February 2028) and TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder (Product No. AB9904, Lot 2782, expiration May 2028). The supplements were distributed nationwide through Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop and the company’s website.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with the bacteria often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Consumers who purchased the affected products should not consume them and should dispose of them immediately.
Products with lot numbers that do not match the recalled lots are not affected. Customers seeking additional information can visit TNVitamins’ recall page or contact the company via email.
