Orioles Place Bassitt on 15-Day IL With Back Discomfort, Recall Gibson to Start vs. Mariners
Baltimore recalled right-hander Trey Gibson from Triple-A Norfolk to start Monday night against the Seattle Mariners. Bassitt signed a one-year, $18.5 million deal with the Orioles in February.

Orioles manager Craig Albernaz told reporters afterward that Bassitt had lower back tightness. Albernaz said Monday it was "too soon to tell" if Bassitt's injured list stint would be short. "It's one of those things where he's looking at his options and kind of seeing what the best course of action is," Albernaz said.
