Packers, Devonte Wyatt agree to three-year, $57 million extension

The Green Bay Packers and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt agreed to a three-year, $57 million contract extension on Monday. The deal was negotiated by Wyatt's agency, Win Sports Group, and reported to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It replaces the $12.94 million salary Wyatt was scheduled to earn in 2026 under the fifth-year option the Packers exercised last year.

Wyatt, 28, now is under contract through the 2029 season.

The Packers selected him with the No. 28 pick in the 2022 draft. The agreement comes less than a week after Green Bay signed linebacker Isaiah McDuffie to a one-year, $8.8 million extension that keeps him with the team through 2027. The Packers have also extended receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson this offseason and are expected to pursue a long-term deal for tight end Tucker Kraft.

Wyatt missed seven games last season after suffering a broken fibula and torn ankle ligaments in the Thanksgiving win over the Detroit Lions. He recorded four sacks and seven quarterback hits in 10 games and has 16 sacks and 30 quarterback hits over four NFL seasons.

He posted 14.5 sacks in 41 games over the last three seasons. Wyatt did not participate in any on-field practices during the 2026 offseason program.

The Packers expect him to play a key role in new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon's 3-4 scheme after the team used a 4-3 front in Wyatt's first four seasons. "We really like him," Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this offseason.

" Wyatt said after last season that he believes he has more to offer. "Me personally, I know I got a lot more in the tank," he said. "I feel like I got a lot more in the tank than what I put out there this year or the past three years I had.
