Paddy Pimblett scheduled to face Benoit Saint Denis in UFC 329 co-main event

Paddy Pimblett is scheduled to face Benoit Saint Denis in the co-main event of UFC 329 on July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Conor McGregor is scheduled to fight Max Holloway in the main event. Pimblett, 31, enters the bout with a professional record of 27 matches and four losses.

He lost to Justin Gaethje by unanimous decision in a five-round fight for the UFC interim lightweight championship at UFC 324 in January at the same venue. Saint Denis defeated Dan Hooker by second-round TKO at UFC 325 in February at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. He remains undefeated in his last four UFC fights and has not lost inside the octagon since a 2024 TKO stoppage to Renato Moicano.

Pimblett stated that Saint Denis’s biggest threat is his left body kick or backhand. He added that he does not expect Saint Denis to attempt a takedown because he believes he would submit him. Pimblett said he expects the fight to end before the third round.

“I’ve got cleaner striking than him. I’m a better grappler and I’ve got better cardio,” he told TNT Sports.
