The VergeParamount Skydance unveiled Paramount Games Studio on Friday, combining Skydance Interactive, Skydance New Media and Paramount’s intellectual property into a single gaming division. The move shifts Paramount’s gaming business from licensing its IP to third parties toward internal development of original titles.
The studio will announce its first game, a AAA title, during Summer Game Fest at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday.
Variety confirmed that two Skydance New Media projects still in development—“Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra” and an untitled Star Wars game made with Lucasfilm—remain active. Tony Driscoll was named president of Paramount Games Studio. He currently serves as head of corporate strategy and development at Paramount and will continue to lead integration planning for the Warner Bros.

Amy Hennig moved from co-president of Skydance New Media to studio creative director at Paramount Games Studio. Julian Beak, who served alongside Hennig as co-president of New Media, has exited the company. Andrea Silvers was named senior vice president of marketing and communications.
Kara Bilkiss was appointed senior vice president of business development and licensing, and Ray Davis was named senior vice president of engineering. “This division launch marks a meaningful evolution in how we think about games – not as an extension of our business, but as a core pillar of our content strategy alongside film, television, and streaming,” Driscoll said.
