Paramount Pictures unveiled new footage from the upcoming Scary Movie film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 16, 2026. The footage previewed scenes from the first installment in the horror spoof franchise since 2013, which is scheduled to open on June 5, 2026. The new Scary Movie continues the story of the Core Four characters 26 years after they outran Ghostface.

The Core Four consists of Marlon Wayans as Shorty, Shawn Wayans as Ray, Anna Faris as Cindy, and Regina Hall as Brenda. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Anna Faris attended the CinemaCon event to promote the film. " Other scenes feature trick-or-treaters shouting "6 7" and being drawn into a Weapons homage, SNL alum Cheri Oteri receiving The Substance, Anna Faris hitting a Smile character who is a harmless mental patient, a country music performance by vampires from Sinners, and Chris Elliott as Longlegs.

" Marlon Wayans also presented a scroll apologizing to various groups including white people, Black people, off-white people, Mexicans, Mexican ts, Asians, the entire state of Vermont, Diddy, Diddy’s cleaning lady, and baby oil in general. Scary Movie is produced by Paramount Pictures and the Wayans Brothers in association with Miramax.

Michael Tiddes directed the film from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez.
