Pauline Hanson stated on 17 July 2026 that her daughter Lee Hanson is the future of One Nation and has the potential to lead the party. The comments came in a podcast released that morning featuring Hanson and UK activist Tommy Robinson. Hanson said Lee Hanson will have to prove herself to Hanson, other One Nation members and the public.
She added that she does not believe in nepotism. Hanson stated that Lee Hanson gets the issues, is frightened about where Australia is going and has expressed interest in entering politics. Hanson described her own approach as harder and her daughter's as softer.
