Voters in Pennsylvania will head to the polls on Tuesday in primaries that will set up general-election matchups for governor and four U.S. House seats currently held by Republicans. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a Democrat first elected in 2022, is running unopposed for a second term. Republican State Treasurer Stacy Garrity is also unopposed in her party's primary for governor.

Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional District Incumbent Rep.

Ryan Mackenzie, a Republican, faces no primary opponent in the 7th District. Gov. Josh Shapiro has endorsed Bob Brooks, a union leader and former firefighter. " Ryan Crosswell, a former federal prosecutor, is also running. He said he resigned from the Justice Department in February 2025 over disagreement with how the department wanted to drop corruption charges against then-New York City mayor Eric Adams.

The other two Democratic candidates are Lamont McClure, a former Northampton County executive, and Carol Obando-Derstine, who served as an aide to former Democratic Sen. Bob Casey.

Republicans hold three additional seats that Democrats are targeting: the 1st, 8th, and 10th districts. In the 1st District, two Democrats are running for the nomination. In the 10th District, two Democrats are competing for the nomination. A Democratic primary is also underway in the 3rd District, which covers part of Philadelphia.

Incumbent Rep. Dwight Evans is retiring, and the winner is expected to win the general election.
