Peter Fury Discusses Exchange With Referee Mark Lyson Over Fight Stoppage

Peter Fury said he approached referee Mark Lyson at an airport and asked about the stoppage during the Usyk versus Rico fight. Fury recounted the exchange in which he told Lyson the stoppage occurred after the bell had sounded and while the fighter remained on his feet.

Lyson responded that he did his best at the time and stated he did not hear the bell. Fury noted that he also did not hear the bell during the sequence.
