A four-day visit by the Philippine president to Canada began on Wednesday. The trip is intended to expand cooperation on trade, labour, energy, tourism, defence and maritime issues. Meetings with Canadian business leaders are scheduled to discuss opportunities in mining, information technology, business process management, telecommunications, nuclear energy and financial services.
The president is also set to meet members of the overseas Filipino community in Vancouver.
