Philippine tourism agency launches discounted domestic travel deals

The Department of Tourism launched a domestic tourism campaign offering more than 3,000 discounted hotel stays, tours, flights, and travel packages across the Philippines. The campaign, called “Discover More to Love,” includes deals from airlines, hotels, tour operators, and travel platforms.

The campaign website crashed on its launch day, Friday, June 26. Officials said the site had generated more than P100,000 in sales within days, based on reports from participating hotels and resorts.

Campaign details Participating airlines include Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia Philippines, and Sunlight Air. Travel platforms AirAsia MOVE and Klook are also offering deals, while Mastercard is providing payment perks for cardholders. Hotels and resorts affiliated with the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association are offering discounts of up to 70 percent.

The campaign includes more than 250 regional travel packages. Officials said the goal is to keep hotels operating during slower months and avoid staff layoffs.

Tourism is also running a TikTok series called “Wanderlust Week” with travel content creators. The series features creators visiting Cebu, Siargao, and Manila to promote domestic destinations. A TikTok official said younger travelers increasingly use the platform to discover trips.

The Philippines has recorded around 3 million international arrivals so far this year, up more than 6 percent from the same period last year.
