Pirates Trade 34th Draft Pick and Reliever for Gonzalez and Eisert from White Sox
The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired infielder Jacob Gonzalez and left-handed reliever Brandon Eisert from the Chicago White Sox on Friday night. In return, the Pirates sent the 34th overall pick in the 2026 amateur draft and left-handed reliever Jaden Woods to Chicago.

The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired infielder Jacob Gonzalez and left-handed reliever Brandon Eisert from the Chicago White Sox on Friday night. The Pirates sent the 34th overall pick in Saturday's amateur draft and left-handed reliever Jaden Woods to the White Sox in exchange. 320 with 19 home runs in 53 games at Triple-A Charlotte this season after making his major league debut earlier in 2026.
Eisert, 28, posted a 2-1 record with a 5.93 ERA in 25 games, including four starts. Woods, 24, recorded a 9.31 ERA in 10 relief appearances for Triple-A Indianapolis. The White Sox gained additional draft pool flexibility from the deal.
