theolivepress.esJasmine Harman announced on Monday that she is recovering from a hernia operation and will miss work for two weeks. The 50-year-old presenter of the Channel 4 series A Place in the Sun posted a video on Instagram showing herself in a hospital gown. She told followers she would skip her usual Monday morning Zumba class while recuperating.
Harman said she had been quiet on social media recently because of the surgery. "Normally on a Monday morning, if I'm not working, I would be doing my Zumba class. Today I'm not doing it," she stated. "Reason being, I'm recovering from surgery. " Harman added that the procedure left her feeling drained.
"Although it's a small procedure, any kind of surgery really knocks the wind out of your sails," she said. Doctors instructed her to rest, which she described as "easier said than done" for someone accustomed to staying busy.
