Police close Grosvenor Place after cyclist crash at Hyde Park Corner

Grosvenor Place, a major dual carriageway linking Hyde Park Corner with Victoria along the perimeter of Buckingham Palace, stayed closed at 19:00 BST. About 10 police vehicles were present, along with a Lime bike, cement lorry, two cars and a moped inside the cordon.
London reported delays on surrounding central London roads. The agency advised drivers to use alternative routes due to the collision at the junction of Grosvenor Place and Duke of Wellington Place. Affected routes included southbound Park Lane to Upper Grosvenor Street, Old Brompton Road eastbound to Yeomans Row, Grosvenor Place northbound to Lower Grosvenor Place, and Buckingham Palace Road to Eccleston Street.
A police officer at the scene told the BBC that a bike and lorry were involved and that the cyclist was in a serious condition in hospital. The Met Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.
