College in Randalstown stated that the matter is not being treated as a serious threat at this stage. The school said doors will remain locked and pupils will stay indoors until further guidance is received from police. Democratic Unionist Party assembly member Trevor Clarke condemned the email but said the wording raises some questions.
He stated he had spoken to police and urged the community to follow any advice given by school leaders. Social Democratic and Labour Party councillor Roisin Lynch welcomed the response from police, emergency services and schools. She encouraged anyone with information to cooperate with the investigation.
