Police Name Former Prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah Corruption Suspect

Indonesian police on Saturday named former senior prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah and a private individual identified only as DR as suspects in three alleged corruption cases. The cases involve PT Asabri, PT Krakatau Steel, and coal supply contracts that police say contributed to power outages in Sumatra.
Police said they have questioned 15 witnesses, two experts, and conducted searches at multiple locations since Wednesday. Officers seized 74 kilograms of gold bars and foreign currency from a house in Sentul, Bogor, that Febrie identified as his private residence. DR has been held at Polda Metro Jaya detention since Friday, while Febrie remains free pending further proceedings.
Febrie denied any connection to the Cipete property or involvement in the coal procurement case and said the seized assets can be accounted for through legal channels.
