Polish Entrepreneur Ziplines Into Perugia Wedding After Dropping Helicopter Plan

Maciej Mazurek, 30, ziplined from a top-floor window into his wedding ceremony in Perugia, Italy, on July 2 while the Skyfall theme played. He landed at the altar after spending $24,000 on the setup, nypost.com reported. Three rope specialists assisted with the installation.

Mazurek practiced the zipline at 5 a.m. on the wedding day. Only his bride, Ola Novak, 31, knew about the plan in advance. Mazurek, an entrepreneur from Warsaw, Poland, originally considered arriving by helicopter at a cost of $300,000 and completed three days of training before switching to the zipline option.

The couple had planned the Perugia wedding for 18 months. Mazurek and Novak met through Instagram in 2023 and became engaged in December 2024 at a restaurant in Rome overlooking the city. Mazurek said the entrance was a very special moment for him.

He added that he was happy the stunt succeeded and allowed him to arrive in style. Guests reacted with surprise as he appeared in the air, though Mazurek noted that friends and family expected him to go all out.
