England defender Poppy Pattinson has extended her contract with London City Lionesses until summer 2029, bbc.co.uk reported. The 26-year-old full-back made her senior England debut in March 2026 during the 2027 Women's World Cup qualification matches against Ukraine and Iceland. Pattinson missed much of the previous season because of injury.
She had returned to action and earned the international call-up shortly afterward. "Last season was a bit of a rollercoaster on a personal level," Pattinson said. "It started off with an injury which was a new challenge.
I came back and then earned an international call-up off the back of that. " She has previously played for Manchester City, Everton and Brighton and represented England at under-17, under-19, under-21 and under-23 levels. "I'm really pleased to sign a new contract at this club," she added.
"As a player you want to feel you are at a club where you can still learn and grow. I think I have a lot left in me to do just that.
