Spain reached the round after a 3-0 win over Austria and has not conceded a goal in four tournament matches. Its prior results included a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia, a 1-0 win over Uruguay and a 0-0 draw with Cape Verde.
The sides last met in June 2025, when Portugal defeated Spain on penalty kicks to win the UEFA Nations League title. Cristiano Ronaldo, 41 and Portugal captain, announced ahead of the match that the 2026 World Cup will be his last international tournament. Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times.
Rodri serves as Spain’s captain. The match will be broadcast on FOX in English and Telemundo in Spanish, with streaming available on DIRECTV. The winner will face the victor of the USA versus Belgium quarterfinal on July 10.
