Powerball Jackpot Reaches $526 Million Ahead of July 18 Drawing

The Powerball jackpot reached $526 million with a cash value of $233.5 million ahead of the July 18 drawing, Usa Today reported. The lottery has awarded its top prize more than 400 times since launching in 1992. No one claimed the jackpot on Wednesday.

One player in Louisiana won $2 million instead. The most recent jackpot win occurred on May 2, when two players split a $20 million prize. Usa Today will post the winning numbers after the 11 p.m. ET drawing.

Tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players select five white balls from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball from 1 to 26. The top ten Powerball jackpots include the record $2.040 billion won in California on Nov.

7, 2022, followed by $1.817 billion in Arkansas on Dec. 24, 2025, and $1.787 billion split between Missouri and Texas on Sept. 6, 2025. Drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. If no one wins, the prize continues to grow.
