President Lee Jae Myung Names Lim Ki-keun Policy Coordination Minister

President Lee Jae Myung appointed Vice Budget Minister Lim Ki-keun as minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination on July 10, 2026, the presidential office said. Lim will replace Yoon Chang-ryeol, who offered to step down ahead of the announcement. The office assists the prime minister in coordinating government policy.

"We expect (Lim) to mediate the interests of different ministries in a rational manner and stably manage state affairs by drawing on his experience of coordinating complex economic policies as a top expert in the economic policy field," said Seong Ghi-hong, senior presidential secretary for public relations and communication.

Lim previously served as chief of the Public Procurement Service and held various senior positions at the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Prime Minister Han Seong-sook was inaugurated on July 1.

Lim presided over a meeting at the government complex in Seoul on July 8, according to his office.
