President Trump to Address Conference at Washington Hilton

President Trump will return to the Washington Hilton on Friday to address the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual Road to Majority Conference. The hotel was the location of an April 2026 incident during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in which a man carrying a gun attempted to enter the ballroom.

The president was escorted from the room and the individual was stopped at the doors.

A Secret Service official stated that the agency uses a layered security framework that is adjusted for each protected site. The official added that the April plan stopped the identified threat and that further reviews occur as needed. The president is also scheduled to attend the Great American State Fair on the National Mall on Wednesday as part of events marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.
