Trump Presents Trophy at 2026 World Cup Final

President Trump attended the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday. Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 when Spanish striker Ferran Torres scored in the 106th minute of extra time.

FIFA posted a photo of Spain lifting the World Cup trophy to social media, but President Trump, who lingered on stage, appears to be carefully cropped out. Trump is the first sitting U.S. president to attend a men's World Cup final on American soil. Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joined the award presentation.
