President Donald Trump will deliver a primetime address at 9 p.m. Thursday focused on elections. Trump stated on Tuesday that the speech contains really big news and will cover other topics as well. He has escalated calls for Republicans to pass tighter federal voting rules for November's midterm elections, including legislation requiring voter ID and sharply limiting mail-in voting.

Trump has frequently stated he won the White House three times and has stocked his administration with officials who support his claims of 2020 election fraud. Accounts differ on whether the Thursday address will include claims about the 2020 election outcome.
