He described their comments in a Fox News interview broadcast on May 30. "King Charles walked in last week with his great wife," Trump told Lara Trump. "She looked and she said 'Oh, this is the Oval Office.'" The four-day visit included a garden party, afternoon tea, and a state dinner at the White House. Charles also addressed a joint session of Congress.

Trump made similar statements last month, saying the royals remarked that the room "is something." The comments followed the first state visit by the monarchs since Charles became king.

Trump has overseen other interior changes at the White House since beginning his second term. These include replacing the Rose Garden lawn with gravel and plans to demolish the East Wing for a new ballroom.
