Trump Attends White House Correspondents' Dinner

President Trump appeared before a crowd of seniors in Florida, marking his first major public appearance since a gunman allegedly tried to kill him at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. The appearance followed an attempted attack on April 25, 2026, at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC, where shots were fired during the event.

Officer John Bartholomew, a 10-year veteran of the department, died from the shooting.

Also on April 25, 2026, Abdul Saleh was shot along with another man in New York's East Village. Saleh, who ran Sal's Deli & Grocery with his brothers, died from the shooting at age 28. Eby Castro, who lives nearby, told NY1, 'They're all amazing brothers, honestly.
