Trump's Doctor Declares Him in 'Excellent Health' With Strong Cardiac and Cognitive Results

The White House released results from President Trump's latest physical exam showing he scored 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.

The report estimated Trump's cardiac age at 14 years below his chronological age of 79. It noted slight improvement in lower-leg swelling compared with last year's exam and attributed scarring on his right ear to the July 2024 gunshot injury in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Hand bruising was linked to minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and aspirin therapy. Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency last summer.

The president gained 14 pounds since his April 2025 exam. The report advises continued weight loss through diet and physical activity while noting that his demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being.

Trump takes rosuvastatin and ezetimibe for high cholesterol and daily aspirin to reduce heart-attack and stroke risk; physicians recommended lowering the aspirin dose from 325 milligrams to about 80 milligrams.

This is the third known physical examination released since Trump returned to office in 2025. The medical report made no mention of a skin rash on the president's neck that appeared in March. In March, officials said the rash was a side effect of a very common cream used as preventive skin treatment.

No publicly released evidence has documented additional medical issues beyond those listed in the physician's summary. Presidents are not legally required to release their medical records, which are protected by HIPAA. The last six of Trump's predecessors released medical information.

Trump refused to release medical records while on the campaign trail in 2024. In 2015, a letter declared Trump would be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency. The letter was later said to have been dictated by Trump himself. Trump was hospitalized with Covid-19 in 2020 at Walter Reed, where officials acknowledged they had tried to present an upbeat description of the condition.
