Voters in six states participated in primary elections on Tuesday. The contests produced general election matchups and illustrated the influence of endorsements from President Donald Trump and state officials.

Trump endorsed Ed Gallrein in the Republican primary for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District. ABC News projected that Gallrein defeated incumbent Rep. Thomas Massie. The race set a record for House primary spending, with more than $32 million spent on advertisements.

Massie addressed supporters after the results. He stated that his campaign focused on principles rather than opposing his opponent or the president. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared with Gallrein at an event the day before the primary.

Georgia Gubernatorial Primary Lt. Gov.

Burt Jones and businessman Rick Jackson advanced to a June 16 runoff in the Republican primary for governor. Jackson entered the race three months before the primary and described his campaign as an alternative to political insiders.

Pennsylvania and Georgia Results Pennsylvania Gov.

Josh Shapiro endorsed four candidates in U.S. House districts. ABC News projected that all four won their primaries. Georgia Gov. Dooley is projected to face Rep. Mike Collins in a runoff.
