William visited the Isles of Scilly to highlight his role overseeing the Duchy of Cornwall. He was scheduled to open a new hospital facility on St Mary's that will add maternity services and social care capacity. The Duchy has invested £11 million in new sustainable housing for essential workers on the islands.
The development is the first of its scale in nearly 30 years. William said residents previously had to travel to the mainland for medical care, which created added costs.
