Princess Anne to Visit South Korea for 75th Anniversary of Battle of Imjin River and Bilateral Events
The British Embassy in Seoul announced the three-day trip on June 10, 2026. Princess Anne and Sir Tim Laurence will attend commemorations and partnership events.
upi.comPrincess Anne, the younger sister of Britain's King Charles III, will visit South Korea from July 13 to 15, 2026, for events marking the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Imjin River and commemorating British soldiers who fought in the 1950-53 Korean War.
The British Embassy in Seoul announced the three-day trip on June 10, 2026. Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, will also participate in programs highlighting bilateral cooperation in maritime manufacturing, advanced technologies, research, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
Princess Anne previously visited South Korea during the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. "There are fond and longstanding ties between the Royal Family and the Republic of Korea," said Colin Crooks, the British ambassador to South Korea. " The Korean War lasted from 1950 to 1953.
