Princess of Wales Completes National Three Peaks Challenge, Shares Family Photos

Kensington Palace shared new photos on Instagram on Sunday showing Catherine, Princess of Wales, reuniting with family after she completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, @ABC reported. The 44-year-old climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, ascending more than 10,000 feet within 24 hours.

Catherine finished the challenge just under 18 months after she announced she was in remission following cancer treatment that began in 2024.

She undertook the effort in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the hospital where she received care, and both she and Prince William serve as patrons of the associated NHS foundation trust. Her brother James Middleton joined her on the climbs. In an Instagram post Sunday he wrote that he was "so incredibly proud" of his sister and called it an "honour" to participate.

"Two years ago, I told you we'd climb this mountain together," he added. " The reunion photos, taken after Catherine summited Snowdon, also showed her parents Carole and Michael Middleton along with Prince William and the couple's three children. On June 28 Catherine posted a photo from the summit of Ben Nevis and stated she had completed the challenge to raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity launched a fundraising page tied to the effort to support holistic care for cancer patients.
