Princess of Wales Meets Philanthropist at Windsor Castle

The Princess of Wales resumed official duties Tuesday with a private meeting at Windsor Castle. She met Australian philanthropist Nicola Forrest in her role as patron of the Royal Foundation. The Court Circular recorded the appointment. No photographs or details of the discussion were released.
The princess completed the National Three Peaks challenge over the weekend. She climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa within 24 hours, covering 23 miles of walking and 462 miles of travel between sites. The effort raised funds for the Royal Marsden hospital where she received cancer treatment. Kensington Palace staff arranged transport between locations.
Forrest founded the Minderoo Foundation and the Coaxial Foundation. The private discussion has prompted speculation about possible future collaboration between the Royal Foundation and her organizations. Prince William separately traveled to Scotland for Royal Week events, including the Thistle Service at St Giles's Cathedral in Edinburgh.
"Cancer doesn't just affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life," the princess said after summiting Ben Nevis. During the climb she met 11-year-old Ted Haslam and later donated privately to his JustGiving page.
The donation amount was not disclosed.
