Qatar's emir received heads of state, government officials, and citizens offering condolences at Lusail Palace for a second consecutive day on July 14, 2026. The visitors included Rwanda's President Paul Kagame, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, and Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, Iraqi President Nizar Amidi, and President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani also attended.
Minister Nawaf Salam led a delegation. Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed offered condolences. Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended, along with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah.
A Saudi delegation included Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud and other senior princes. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in Doha on July 14. FIFA President Gianni Infantino also visited.
The Amiri Diwan scheduled three days of receptions from July 13 to July 15, 2026, with morning and evening sessions. Public mourning began July 12 and runs for four days, with government offices closed until July 19. The former emir was buried on July 13 after funeral prayers at Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque.
