Raaw Energy is expanding a recall of frozen dog food products after federal testing found Listeria monocytogenes. The recall covers items made between July 2025 and March 2026 and sold in nine states.
New York PostRaaw Energy is expanding a recall of dozens of frozen dog food products after federal testing detected Listeria monocytogenes, the Food and Drug Administration said Friday. The recall covers products manufactured between July 17, 2025, and Dec. 23, 2025, plus one batch of “Beef and Turkey Medley” dated March 31, 2026.
The items were sold in two-pound and five-pound clear plastic tubes inside brown cardboard boxes through the company website and pickup locations in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Affected products include “Beef and Chicken,” “Beef and Turkey Medley,” “Chicken Medley,” “Hybrid Dog’s Best Friend,” and additional varieties. The FDA advised consumers not to use, sell, or consume any recalled items and to discard them immediately.
Listeria infection in humans can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and muscle aches. Severe cases may lead to meningitis, pregnancy complications, or death. Pets can carry the bacteria without showing symptoms. Raaw Energy said it halted all dog food production on May 21, 2026, while it addresses sanitation issues.
The company stated it issued the recall “out of an abundance of caution” and apologized for the inconvenience. The FDA first announced a recall in January. Consumers can view the full list of affected products on the FDA website. Raaw Energy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
