RAF Museum Sites Earn Top 10% Ranking in 2026 Tripadvisor Awards

Both RAF Museum sites received the 2026 Travellers' Choice Award, placing them in the top 10% of attractions worldwide according to Tripadvisor data. The Midlands location was also named a Recommended Provider by Which? and tied for first among UK museums. The London site recorded the joint-highest visitor score among museums and galleries in the capital.

Winners are selected solely from authentic visitor reviews submitted during the prior year. Tripadvisor does not use industry nominations or expert panels for these rankings. A director of commercial and visitor services at the RAF Museum said the award reflects visitor feedback and staff efforts to provide memorable experiences.

The Midlands museum offers views of the RAF Cosford airfield, Cold War aircraft displays, and interactive exhibits including cockpit access to Hunter and Phantom aircraft. Visitors can also view a salvaged Dornier Do 17 wing section and a restored Vickers Wellington bomber.

The London site displays the RAF's first satellite Skynet, the Sunderland Flying Boat, and the Vulcan bomber. One visitor review noted the aircraft displays and educational content as reasons for a return visit. A chief marketing officer at Tripadvisor stated that ranking in the top percentage indicates a memorable impact on visitors who chose to leave reviews.
