Rafael Fiziev Knocks Out Manuel Torres in UFC Baku Main Event

Rafael Fiziev defeated Manuel Torres by knockout with a wheel kick and punches at 0:15 of the second round in the main event of UFC Fight Night at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 27. The win ended Fiziev's four-fight skid and marked his first knockout finish since 2022. Fiziev, 31, said afterward that a jab from Torres had left him fighting through double vision.

Fiziev called for a BMF title shot and specifically named Charles Oliveira as a potential opponent. Torres entered the bout 5-1 in the UFC with five finishes. Shara Magomedov defeated Michel Pereira by unanimous decision 29-28 on all three cards in the co-main event.

Magomedov said he wants to fight Israel Adesanya next. Nine of the thirteen bouts ended inside the distance, including five knockouts or technical knockouts and four submissions. Matheus Camilo stopped Nazim Sadykhov with punches at 1:31 of the first round.

Asu Almabayev submitted Charles Johnson with a Suloev stretch at 3:33 of the third round. Ikram Aliskerov beat Brunno Ferreira by unanimous decision 30-27 on all cards. Abus Magomedov submitted Michal Oleksiejczuk with a guillotine at 3:25 of the first round.

Farman Hasanov defeated Eric Nolan by unanimous decision 30-27 on all cards. Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev knocked out Julius Walker with a punch at 0:08 of the first round. Nursulton Ruziboev submitted Andrey Pulyaev with a rear-naked choke at 3:58 of the first round.

Kaan Ofli submitted Javier Reyes with an arm-triangle at 4:16 of the first round. Daniil Donchenko stopped Theodor Berggren with a head kick and punches at 1:35 of the second round. Jean Matsumoto defeated Bekzat Almakhan by unanimous decision 29-28 on all cards.
