Raheem Sterling Arrested After Car Hits Barrier on M3 Motorway

No other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported. The 31-year-old man from Berkshire was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs, driving dangerously, possession of a class C drug and failing to provide a specimen. He has been released on bail while inquiries continue.

The source said Sterling has been made to feel worthless and has been suffering from immeasurable psychological strain following an extremely tough couple of years. The source added there is no proof of anything in his system.
Sterling has made 82 appearances for England and scored 20 goals. He helped the national team reach the 2018 World Cup semifinals and the final of Euro 2020. He came through the academy at QPR before joining Liverpool.
Sterling moved to Manchester City in 2015, where he won four Premier League titles, five League Cups and the FA Cup in 2019. He left for Chelsea in 2022 and spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Arsenal. Sterling joined Feyenoord on a short-term deal in February 2026.
He played eight times in the Eredivisie this season and recorded one assist. Sterling was frozen out of the Chelsea first team last year and forced to train alone. He struggled to make an impact at Feyenoord after joining the Dutch club on the short-term deal this winter.
Sterling was left out of England squads for the 2024 Euros and the 2026 World Cup.
