Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has requested a trade and submitted a three-team list of desired destinations limited to Vegas, Minnesota and Florida. A person familiar with discussions confirmed the request to The Associated Press on Monday. Larkin, 29, holds a full no-trade clause in his contract.

7 million. Larkin completed his 11th season in Detroit and his 10th straight without a playoff berth. The Red Wings' decade-long postseason drought is now the NHL's longest active run after the Buffalo Sabres qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 15 years this season.

The Red Wings had 69 points through 53 games but missed the playoffs. Larkin is from Waterford, Michigan. S. at the Milan Cortina Games in February. Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman faces the challenge of working out a deal with one of the three teams.

Com. 6 million of cap space available currently and rank 31st among the NHL's 32 teams. It is unclear whether Larkin would be open to expanding his list.

Larkin was selected by Detroit with the 15th pick in the 2014 draft. He had 67 points, including a career-best 34 goals in 74 games this season. Larkin has spent his entire career in the Detroit area.

He played collegiately at Michigan.
