A person familiar with discussions confirmed the request to The Associated Press on Monday. Larkin, 29, holds a full no-trade clause in his contract.
7 million. Larkin completed his 11th season in Detroit and his 10th straight without a playoff berth. The Red Wings' decade-long postseason drought is now the NHL's longest active run after the Buffalo Sabres qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 15 years this season.
