The images were accompanied by a statement crediting advanced nanobubbler technology and National Park Service work for killing algae that had previously affected the pool.
Officials said the same technology had been used in past reopenings since 1922.
Vandalism and repairs Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a person in connection with a destruction of government property investigation at the Reflecting Pool. Officials said seven individuals have been arrested in separate incidents involving damage to the National Mall.
Interior Department statements noted multiple gashes totaling about 350 feet along the pool edge. Officials said repairs might be completed by partially draining the pool rather than emptying the entire 6.75 million gallons.

Officials said the pool had not experienced similar vandalism for decades before the recent incidents.
