Reform UK Pledges to Reverse Refugee Sponsorship Plan if Elected

Reform UK said it would scrap a refugee sponsorship scheme introduced by Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood and reverse any admissions made under the plan if the party forms the next government. The spokesman said Reform UK would not permit anyone brought in through the scheme to remain and accused both Labour and Conservative parties of failing to control migration.

He stated that British voters have repeatedly supported lower immigration levels and challenged Labour figures to include the sponsorship plan in an election manifesto. The spokesman also said a Reform government would focus on public safety, cost-of-living pressures, and border enforcement rather than expanding refugee admissions.
